The Green Bay Packers will square off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week One in Brazil. Outside of the Super Bowl, it will be one of the most anticipated matchups in recent NFL history.
It will mark the first time an NFL game is ever being played in South America. Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts are two of the younger generation quarterbacks who hope to be the face of the league for years to come.
Hurts, however, is going viral prior to the start of training camp.
Green Bay Packers’ Week One Opponent Going Viral For Strange Reason

Alex Hoegler of Total Pro Sports decided to highlight an image of Jalen Hurts at practice:
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has clearly put in the work in the gym this offseason, and social media has taken note of it.
On the Eagles’ team website, Jalen Hurts is listed at 6-foot-1 and 223 pounds. The 2022 MVP runner-up decided to bulk up even further this offseason, adding plenty more muscle in his arms.
The @PHLEaglesNation X/Twitter account shared a viral photo of a shredded Hurts:
Have a good feeling we are going to see a lot more deep balls in the #Eagles offense this season. 😳💪🏾 pic.twitter.com/qhYgVtYs57

Hurts put together one of the greatest single-seasons in recent memory during the 2022 campaign. He threw for 3,701 yards, 22 touchdowns and only six interceptions to go along with 760 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.
The 2020 second-round pick finished second in MVP voting behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who beat Hurts’ Eagles in Super Bowl 57.
Though Jalen Hurts set new career bests last season in passing yards (3,858), passing touchdowns (23) and rushing touchdowns (15), he also tossed a career-high 15 interceptions.
Philadelphia jumped out to a 10-1 start that included statement wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. However, they dropped five of their final six games to finish 11-6, handing the NFC East to the Dallas Cowboys on a silver platter.
The Eagles’ late-season collapse culminated with a humiliating 32-9 blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.
Do “Big Arms” Correlate To Big Throws?

In short? Absolutely not.
Packers’ QB Jordan Love ranked among the top ten pass catchers in terms of passing yards, touchdowns, and PFF passing grade last season. Love also led the youngest NFL team to the playoffs since the 1970s.
In the regular season and playoffs combined, he had 18 turnover-worthy plays last year. In this timeframe, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes all had more TWPs than he did. Over the same period, Love had 37 big-time throws, which tied for third most.
The latter half of the 2023 season gave the front office (and Packers fans) the confidence that he can be the long-term quarterback in Green Bay. The stat mentioned above is yet another example of why.
Jalen Hurts can show off his “big arms” at practice, Love will make the throws on Sunday.
