The Green Bay Packers defeated the Jaguars 30-27. They have swept the AFC South division and are now 6-2. On the other hand, it was an expensive victory with quarterback Jordan Love’s groin injury, while still unknown how serious the injuries to safety Evan Williams and cornerback Jaire Alexander are.
Packers Jaire Alexander started at cornerback in a 30-27 win at the Jaguars and had one solo tackle and two pass defenses.
Jaire Alexander had an MRI on his knee
It came out that Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander got an MRI on his knee yesterday after he hopped off the field on the Packers final defensive play on Sunday. Looked like he had trouble putting weight on his right leg.
The Packers desperately need to get healthy before the Lions come to Green Bay next week. That could wind up being one of the most important games of the season. The injury list never stops growing. Quarterback Jordan Love, cornerback Jaire Alexander, safety Evan Williams, and running back Josh Jacobs were all impacted by injuries on Sunday.
Jaire Alexander’s injury and news about his knee
Packers’ cornerback Jaire Alexander appeared to get hurt late in the fourth quarter. Today marked Alexander’s third game back after missing two with an injury. It’s the most consecutive games Alexander has played in a single season since 2022.
According to ESPN’S Rob Demovsky, tests on his knee did not show any significant concerns. Nothing has been decided about his availability for Sunday, but they will monitor his soreness throughout the week.
Positive news for Jaire despite the concerns about his availability
That is pretty good news that nothing serious happened but there are still questions about his availability. The Packers need everybody healthy coming into a massive matchup Week 9 against the Detroit Lions.
The Green Bay Packers without Jaire Alexander are much worse considering the fact that he is one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Hopefully he should be fine and is able to play against the Lions.
