NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport Provides Massive Update On Green Bay Packers Star Jaire Alexander
With the NFL scouting combine this week, there is a ton of offseason news surrounding all 32 teams in the NFL. Many are wondering what the Packers are going to do with the former Louisville Cardinals cornerback. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport provided the latest update on him on Wednesday morning and said on his Twitter page:
“Sources: The #Packers have had trade conversations centered around star CB Jaire Alexander and they are open to moving him for the right price. Alexander, still just 28 and a two-time Pro Bowler, is considered to be the most decorated CB available.”
It is going to be interesting to see what NFL teams are interested in trading for him. Will the Packers get a good offer for him? If not, would they outright release him before the 2025 season?
Potential Suitors
One team that the Packers will not trade him to is the Minnesota Vikings. There have been some reports out there that the Vikings would be interested in signing Alexander if he was released. However, Green Bay would not trade him to any team within the division.
The New York Giants and the Washington Commanders are two potential destinations for Alexander via trade. Both teams need help in the secondary. It remains to be seen what general manager Brian Gutekunst will do with Alexander before the 2025 NFL Draft.
