The Green Bay Packers spent big on free agents in the 2024 offseason to make a transition into contention in the 2024-25 season. The most notable of the free-agent signings is the 2022 rushing yards leader Josh Jacobs. After moving on from a large chunk of the offensive scheme, Aaron Jones, fans were ready to see their new running-back suit up for green and gold. Unfortunately for fans, Jacobs entered the offseason with a hamstring issue, holding him away from the teams’ public Offseason Training Activities.
Packers fans may feel a bit of deja vu, as the previous Green Bay back Aaron Jones missed substantial time with hamstring issues over his career, especially in 2022-23. However, after missing the first week of OTAs, Josh Jacob made May 29th his first day to appear in Green Bay OTAs.
Green Bay Packers Running Back Josh Jacobs Makes First Appearance In Public OTAs

After a move from Las Vegas to Green Bay Josh Jacobs missed OTA participation with a hamstring strain, when asked about the injury Matt Lafleur had this to say.
“He’s working through a little hamstring issue,” LaFleur explained. “I know everybody’s going to freak out but he’s on the mend, he’s doing a good job and we anticipate him back pretty shortly.”
After some time lapsed, Josh Jacobs progressed to the next stage of injury management, increasing the workload.

Josh Jacobs looks like he will be more than ready for the beginning of the NFL season. This is great news for the Green Bay Packers organization and fans. The front office recently inked a 4-year 48-million-dollar contract with the running back with a positive injury history. After the departure of a former pro bowler and third-leading rusher in Packers history, Aaron Jones, the Packers will need early and consistent results from the newly signed All-Pro.
