The Green Bay Packers, as everyone knows by now, are moving on from four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers himself made that announcement last week on The Pat McAfee Show. During his segment, Rodgers stated, “I am arguable the greatest player in the history of the franchise.” While there are many who agree with him, one former Packers player, “The Gravedigger” Gilbert Brown, took issue with what he said. He made his thoughts known on The Earl Ingram Show.
Green Bay Packers Legend Gilbert Brown Has Strong Words for Aaron Rodgers

Gilbert Brown has played with some of the all-time greats: Brett Favre, Reggie White, and LeRoy Butler to name a few. Now, while he did not identify which player he believes is the greatest player of all time, he did have some strong words for Rodgers making that proclamation himself. Below are just a few of his comments on the Aaron Rodgers situation:
“Only thing you can do is voice your opinion. My opinion is that right now, my home boy, Aaron Rodgers, is a clown. Yes he is.
“I’m mad at him. Just like I was mad at Brett Favre when he left to go the Vikings. Not his making or not. Now I’m mad at Aaron Rodgers for his reasons. [However], he’s going to always be my homeboy.
“This fool said he was the best Packer of all times of any era of anybody that stepped onto Lambeau Field with a “G” on the side of his helmet. How could you say something like that? Who would make a statement like that? If I had made a statement like that, I’d be having death threats in my email right now.
“I couldn’t even fix my mouth to say something like that. That is not even your choice to say something like that. Whose choice is that to say that you’re the greatest player or not? The other players. The fans. The fans mostly, but you don’t tell the fans, “Oh by the way, I am the greatest Packer.”
Gilbert and Earl discussed how big of an ego a person must have in order to make a statement like that. To be clear, Gilbert does believe that Rodgers is in that conversation of greatest of all time. That being said, it is not Rodgers’ place to make that declaration, no matter how true it might be.

Smirky McChokeface is a clown and team cancer.
I really admired Aaron Rodgers, for years….until he’s let us see what he’s really like. His politics have no place in football; his disdain for COVID and COVID vaccines; and now his outright selfish arrogance. I’m actually glad he’s leaving Greenbay…he doesn’t deserve to be on the team.
