Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers met with the media on Tuesday with the New York Jets. He has had an eventful offseason up to this point. Rodgers a season ago with the Jets in his first season with the franchise only played four snaps against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.
His season ended because of a Torn Achilles. Aaron Rodgers made an attempt to play for the Jets toward the end of the season, but it never was going to happen. New York finished with a 7-10 record under head coach Robert Saleh.

When Rodgers was out due to injury, it turned into a quarterback carousel for the franchise. Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle started games for the New York Jets when he was injured. Aaron Rodgers hopes to be healthy this season for the New York Jets and make them into a Super Bowl Contender. New York has not been to the playoffs since the 2010 season.
They had one of the best defenses in the NFL last season. Had he been healthy, the Jets may have made the playoffs with the way the defense performed. New York hopes that Rodgers will not have another season-ending injury this season for the franchise. He will be in the headlines a lot throughout the course of the season.
Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Talked About Potentially Not Playing In the NFL This Season

At one point this NFL offseason, Rodgers was a candidate to be the Vice president under Robert F. Kennedy’s campaign. Kennedy did not choose him for that honor. Rodgers told the media about not being his candidate by saying:
“There were really two options. Retire and be his VP or keep playing. I wanted to keep playing.”
Rodgers is 40 years old. Can you imagine if he retired and left the Jets? That would have been something. Kennedy is most likely not going to win the 2024 election anyway. Who knows, maybe Rodgers has some political stuff in his future.

There would have been a lot of interesting reactions on Twitter as well had Rodgers retired from the NFL and pursued a political career. There is no doubt that Rodgers is trying to get eyeballs in the news with some of his comments.
