The past week has been tough for Green Bay Packers fans.
They lost their first game against an NFC North rival as their team fell agonizingly short to the Minnesota Vikings. Jordan Love played a major role in the loss. Various analysts and Packers fans didn’t hold back from criticizing their team and QB1 for rushing a return when Malik Willis proved a capable stand-in for the offense.
Green Bay legend Brett Favre also revealed that he’s suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. His announcement placed a huge cloud over the week of Packers fans that was made worse by their messy loss to their NFC North rivals.
However, it’s not all gloom and doom in Packers Land. During the game between the two rivals—who Favre both played for—Love made a gesture to support the Hall of Famer. The one-time Super Bowl winner shared his honest thoughts about the gesture.
Brett Favre thanks Jordan Love for wearing his jersey during Green Bay Packers’ Week 4 loss to Minnesota
Hours before the loss to the Vikings, Love was spotted walking to the locker room wearing Favre’s old jersey with the team. The team immediately recorded the moment and posted on social media:

Favre immediately responded on Twitter/X, thanking the young quarterback for the gesture. Per The Spun’s Matt Hladik:
“Big respect to @jordan3love for wearing this old man’s jersey. I didn’t think I could like Jordan anymore until this morning,’ Favre wrote.
It made sense for Love to pay tribute to the 11-time Pro Bowl QB. Through 16 years with the Packers, he threw for 61,655 yards and 442 touchdowns. He was instrumental to the Packers’ 1996 championship run and remained a valuable part of the Packers’ offense until Aaron Rodgers took over.
Like many former Packers players and fans, Brett Favre hopes the team gets back on their feet and finishes the season strongly. Likewise, many in the Packers organization and fandom wish Favre the best with his health.
