Do we lose at home? Absolutely not! Especially not to the Vikings. The Packers clinched the #1 seed after their victory, hopefully allowing Rodgers to have a few weeks off.. If he wants them. It seems like Rodgers will be playing for at least a half on Sunday, but who knows! Week 18 in fantasy is a complete toss up, but let’s recap this past week before we get to that!
NOTE: The scoring is based on PPR through NFL Fantasy. Please keep that in mind as the numbers might be slightly different from a Fantasy league you’re in!
Aaron Rodgers: 20.32 Points
Another 20 point start from Aaron Rodgers, this seems to be the lowest he can deliver! I sound like a broken record saying this, but there’s nothing wrong with a twenty point performance from your quarterback. QB’s can be all over the place for fantasy, but Rodgers is always a lock for his efficiency. You don’t have to worry about a loss of points for a fumble or interception, and you can focus on the massive upside he truly has. We all know that Rodgers good games far outweigh his bad.
Aaron Jones: 15.60 Points
For not finding the endzone, Aaron Jones again had a very good fantasy performance. Jones finished the game with just over 75 rushing yards, and of course had a few receptions to go along with that. This time, a few receptions means FIVE, which he turned into thirty yards. He usually doesn’t have any big time yards after catch rate, but those catches are a thing of beauty in a PPR fantasy league.
AJ Dillon: 22.30 Points
AJ Dillon somehow found his way into the endzone not once but twice, resulting in a massive fantasy performance. Quadzille was on full display, making the most of his goaline touches. Dillon and Jones both had over sixty five yards on the ground, which is a great sign heading into the postseason. This split backfield works to perfection, with Dillon getting the touchdowns more often than Jones as of late.
Davante Adams: 30.60 Points
No, Davante Adams wasn’t the top receiver in fantasy, but he would’ve been in most weeks. This was another target heavy effort for the top receiver in the league, Adams finished with 11 receptions for over one hundred yards. Must I add that he had a touchdown grab as well? Even without that touchdown, this would’ve been a top tier fantasy week. Adams is just unstoppable.
Allen Lazard: 19.20 Points
Speaking of unstoppable, Allen Lazard has surely found his role on this team! I still think it’s a risk because you don’t know if you should start MVS or Lazard in fantasy, either could have a big time game. Sunday night football saw Lazard step up, and similar to Adams, had himself a touchdown. Lazard had six grabs for just over 70 yards, a performance that fantasy playoff players surely enjoyed if they risked it and started him.
Josiah Deguara: 3.10 Points
Remember how I talked about the floor for Aaron Rodgers being around 20? Well, Deguara has a floor of 3. This man just doesn’t do much for fantasy football, and without Tonyan, the Packers aren’t putting up big TE numbers. Even with Tonyan, not every week would be great for the tight end category! The Packers have also spiced it up now with three tight ends, so you truly don’t know who the right call is on any given week.
Packers Defense: 6.00 Points
This is a rather atrocious total for a team that was as dominant as they were. This is similar to last week where the defense played extremely well but didn’t force any turnovers. Turnovers are where the money is for defensive points in fantasy, but they didn’t get any takeaways or anything to add to their total.
Mason Crosby: 13.00 Points
This might’ve been Crosby’s best week of the season! He had such a high total due to the number of times the Packers had to settle for field goals. This has been a common theme this season, driving down the field but then not converting inside the 30. Thankfully for Packer fans, Crosby seems to have his act together and hasn’t made anyone worry in awhile.
Packers Only Fantasy Team: 131.42 Points
What a week! Even with the lackluster defensive performance (only in terms of fantasy) and Deguara once again putting up minimal numbers, this was a great total. Aaron Rodgers, Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, MVS (flex), Josiah Deguara, Packers D, and Mason Crosby account for this total. Even looking at MVS, he only had just over a point! There were a few Packers who carried this week, and the team is looking unstoppable right now.
