The Green Bay Packers answered one of the more important questions for the offensive line this offseason on Monday when they signed Yosh Nijman. The Packers placed a restricted tender on Nijman in March, and the two parties ultimately agreed on a one-year deal worth $4.3 Million. Packers fans reacted to the news on social media.
Nijman will be a major piece of the Packers’ strategy for the offensive line this year. He did a solid job playing at left and right tackle season. Depending on if David Bakhtiari is healthy this season or if the Packers cut him, Nijman would be a reliable offensive tackle to protect Jordan Love. (Cutting Bakhtiari is an option for the Packers this offseason, as the team could save $17.5 million by releasing him after June 1st.)

Green Bay Packers fans react on social media
Not long after reports came out Nijman was staying with the Packers, fans gave their opinions on Twitter. Here are the best takes on Nijman signing with the Packers.
The #Packers may give Nijman the Lazard treatment until someone decides to pay him. Looks like they want another year to evaluate if he is the long-term answer at RT.
Nijman started 13 out of 17 games in 2022 (756 snaps) and allowed five sacks and 28 pressures, per @PFF. https://t.co/R7rHgugGlX

I still wonder if someone’s gonna call GB about Yosh before the draft. Just turned 27, not a ton of wear and tear, can play both T spots (but he’s obviously better at LT). https://t.co/3UfhOYIUPi

Mostly a formality. Bigger question is does Green Bay view him as a potential long-term starter? https://t.co/oDO6f8ngwe

astounds me no team would take a stab at Nijman considering his age, ascending play and the versatility to legit play at both tackle spots.
don’t think a team will find anyone close to that tier of play in R2 of this draft after the initial run on OTs that might happen in R1. https://t.co/qNhwOlBxOf

I am very glad he's back, but I am a little floored no one wanted to trade for him. https://t.co/6w3LQ7ve0X

Package him (or Bakhtiari) with Aaron Rodgers get back Clemons or Johnson from the Jets (in addition to their 2nd round picks + swap of #13 for our #15.
