Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets have officially begun their 2023 season after months of preparation.  Several premium draft picks were sacrificed to bring the four-time MVP to Gang Green.  Unfortunately, that era has gotten off to a rough start.  Aaron Rodgers went down on the very first drive of the game, and now his X-ray results are trending everywhere.

#Jets say x-rays were negative on Aaron Rodgers’ ankle. https://t.co/Ed6BeVD4Jm

Of course, Aaron Rodgers playing 65% of his snaps in 2023 will directly impact the Packers’ 2024 draft class.  That number will determine if the Packers get an extra first-round draft pick or second-round draft pick.  While the results of the X-Rays being negative are a good start, Packers fans know he is not out of the clear just yet:

Could be his achilles but they showed him stepping on it after getting off the cart

    — Danny Dimes🪙 To Hyatt🍊 (@BallsDeepInYm3) September 12, 2023

That’s actually bad news because it means that it’s a muscle/ligament injury, rather than a bone injury. Possibly achilles

    — Anthony Rivardo (@Anthony_Rivardo) September 12, 2023

Negative X-rays make sense. Concern is ligament damage, in particular the achilles

    — Pats Buzz (@PatsBuzz) September 12, 2023

You don’t see an Achilles on X-ray

    — DB💔 (@DBcaponed) September 12, 2023

This will be one of the biggest storylines moving forward in the NFL.  An absolutely brutal way for the Jets’ season to start.
