Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (MVS) is a Super Bowl Champion. After leaving the Packers to sign a three-year $30 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, MVS had one of the best seasons of his career. He had a career-high 41 receptions for 687 yards and two touchdowns. The 687 yards are the second-most he has recorded in a season in his career (690 in 2020). As the clock of Super Bowl LVII hit 0:00, Packers fans took to social media to congratulate their former wide receiver.

By all the praise that MVS received on social media tonight, one would not have guessed that at one time he was one of the most highly criticized players on the Packers roster. So unpopular was he with the fanbase at one point that he even received death threats after muffing a punt during a regular season game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Of course, that was from a minority of so-called fans (at least, one would hope). For the most part, Packers social media was highly congratulatory of MVS for winning the Super Bowl:
