The Green Bay Packers trail the New Orleans Saints 17-0 at the half of the their Week Three matchup. The debacle is also the Packers’ home opener and Jordan Love‘s first start at Lambeau Field. While the defense got off to a good start forcing a three-and-out on the Saints’ first series of the game, it has been all downhill since.
From stupid penalties, personal fouls, and the team’s inability to complete tackles or cover short passes, the scapegoat for Packers’ fans is who it normally is: defensive coordinator Joe Barry.
Throughout the first half, fans took to Twitter (X) to voice their frustrations.
Green Bay Packers Fans Go Off on Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry

It seems to be the same story week after week for this defense. They can create pressure up front, but they cannot get the job done in other areas. While the players have not executed their tackles (again), much of the team’s struggles is a result of the Barry’s scheme and his inability to make adjustments:
Joe Barry really making this pee wee football team loon unstoppable. Absolutely disgusting. I’m losing my mind and everyone around me knows it

Are we sure that Joe Barry actually knows his opponent before he gets to the stadium on Sunday?
He certainly coaches like he doesn’t.

I’ve never seen a defense consistently give up first downs in the flats like Joe Barry’s.

“Joe Barry legacy game” he repeats to himself, rocking back and forth in a straitjacket inside a heavily padded room.

Just another Sunday watching Joe Barry rip all the happiness from my body as a Packers fan pic.twitter.com/DRECitswVt

Every team knows what to do to a Joe Barry defense now

“You’re not gonna let 36 year old Jimmy Graham score on you today, are you?”

It really is unfortunate that Matt LaFleur is willing to significantly handicap his team each week with the continued employment of Joe Barry.

Gandhi would run a more aggressive defensive scheme than Joe Barry

I may turn this off.
The saints are EXPLOITING joe Barry to a new level (and that says a lot)#ThrowEverythingUnderneath

It is quite clear who fans think is the problem, and at some point the rest of the organization has to realize it too, right?
