Former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is still generating interest in the NFL. In fact, the Green Bay Packers are reportedly interviewing Staley for the vacant defensive coordinator gig following the firing of Joe Barry. The Packers let go of Barry after their loss in the playoffs to the San Francisco 49ers.
News Of Brandon Staley Being In Contact With The Green Bay Packers Has Triggered Wild Fan Reactions
Staley coached the Chargers from 2021 to 2023, though, he was not able to finish the last season with the Bolts, who fired him after Los Angeles got blown out of the water by the Las Vegas Raiders in a Week 15 63-21 road loss.
Nevertheless, there seems to be room still in the NFL for Staley, as indicated by the interview he’s getting with the Packers. He has experience as a defensive coordinator in the pros, having served the same role with the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams.
