The Green Bay Packers delivered terrible news this week during Joe Barry’s press conference on a starter and former first-round pick. The Packers sustained many serious injuries during the 2022 season, which made it hard for the team to contend for a playoff spot in Aaron Rodgers last season in Green Bay. The Packers, who were already stretched thin after a boring free agency, were hoping to have cornerback Eric Stokes back to start the season. That might not happen.
Per WSH Media files, Barry said Stokes would not practice during OTAs. Barry seemed to indicate it would take a while before Stokes could make football moves again, and he might miss some of the regular season. That’s a crushing loss for a player who started in 23 games for the Packers in the first 25 games he was able to play in. Stokes missed the last eight games of the 2022 regular season with an ankle injury.

What does that mean tho? What was the “substantial injury?”

lol i follow the team. i know it was an ankle/knee injury, but what specifically was it? was it a torn ACL? a torn achilles? what surgery did he have? most of this stuff is made public but we haven’t heard any of this about his injury

Stokes seemed to be in good spirits at the end of last season. He was seen jumping a week after the injury, and jogging in January. Maybe he had another injury or some sort of setback.
