The Green Bay Packers got off to a hot start this season. Trouncing the Bears 38-20 is a great way for any Packers season to start, let alone one that is beginning a new era of football in Green Bay. However, even in a win, much can be improved. There have been many Packers fans calling for one player who has started five games for the team to be traded or released as soon as possible.
Green Bay Packers Fans Are Already Calling For AJ Dillon To Be Traded Or Released
A total of 13 carries resulted in only 19 yards for Dillon agasint the BeaRS. That’s 1.5 yards per carry. With only five attempts, Patrick Taylor (who had just been promoted from the practice squad) gained 22 yards.
As we reported earlier this week, the Packers were in talks to acquire Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor. There is now much discussion among fans over whether the Packers need a new backup running back to fill Dillon’s shoes:

AJ Dillon had 770 rush yards in 2022, while Aaron Jones had 1,121 rush yards, a career high for him. It should be noted, however, that Dillon had 803 rushing yards in 2021 compared to Jones’ 799. That year, both running backs had over 1,100 all-purpose yards.
These two running backs have proven they are one of the better duos in the NFL. The first game of the season won’t dictate what the Packers do with Dillon, however, if this type of performance continues you have to wonder if they’ll make a splash move at the position sooner rather than later.
