Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since suffering his hamstring injury in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears. Fans were pretty happy that Jones returned to practice because that means he is potentially one step closer to playing on Sunday in the home opener against the New Orleans Saints (2-0).
They surely missed his services last week in the 25-24 loss against the Atlanta Falcons. Aaron Jones playing this week potentially means that A.J. Dillon could very well take a backseat with his carries. Rookie Emanuel Wilson and Patrick Taylor Jr. didn’t see the field much for the Green Bay Packers last week in Jones’s absence.
Aaron Jones is one of the most important players in this offense. They would not have blown a 24-12 lead if he was playing last week. The offense stalled on the final three drives for a reason. They also have the third most three-and-outs to start the first two weeks of the NFL regular season.

You can tell by their reactions that they were super happy he returned this week. It will be a big help to quarterback Jordan Love and especially head coach Matt LaFleur this week if Aaron Jones can play against the Saints. Jones will need to practice again on Friday in order to have a solid chance to play this weekend.
Not having him out there would be a bummer for this offense. Jones and the Packers offense will look to have another efficient game this Sunday in front of the home fans at Lambeau Field.
