The 2024 NFL regular season is in everyone’s rearview mirror now, and it’s time for the NFL playoffs to commence. That portion of the season will commence this coming weekend in the wild-card round where the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers are set to face off at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly on Sunday.
The Eagles are hyped for that huge showdown against a team they have already defeated once this season, as Philly shared a post on Sunday to let their followers know what’s coming.
“Playoffs start NOW 😤See you on Sunday, 1/12 at 4:30pm on FOX,” read the caption along with a graphic showing Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley. Also on the image are Packers running back Josh Jacobs and defensive back Xavier McKinney.

As expected, fans have a lot to say in the comments section of the post.
“Season starts now. Need 4 wins. We believe in you Eagles!”
“Please beat Green Bay for me,I’m a Bears fan ,so I can’t stand the Packers anyway, but since their fans had to get all salty because the Bears finally beat them once,I really want you guys to win!”
“Keep posting it, I’ll keep liking it! GO BIRDS”
“I’m so excited. Haven’t been this excited since the 2011 Phillies team.”
“We started our season with them and we gonna start the playoffs with them.”
It can be recalled that the Eagles and the Packers have already met before this season, as they locked horns down in Brazil way back in Week 1. The Eagles prevailed in that contest, 34-29, but the Packers won six of the next eight games after that defeat.
The Eagles finished the regular season atop the NFC East division standings with a 14-3 record while the Packers ended up third in the NFC North with an 11-6 slate.
