The Green Bay Packers division odds plummeted after the Aaron Rodgers trade. Many sportsbooks had them with the worst odds to win the division. Oddsmakers are betting against Jordan Love and the young roster while being more bullish on the Vikings and Bears. However, this was all pre-NFL draft. After the NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers division odds saw a massive swing.
Green Bay Packers Division Odds Post-NFL Draft
Earlier in the offseason, FanDuel Sportsbook had the Lions as the favorite at +180 with the Vikings and Bears next at +300 and +350 respectively. The Green Bay Packers division odds were all the way down at +410. Apparently, the oddsmakers like what the Packers did in the draft. While the Lions are still a favorite at +140, the Packers now have the second-best division odds at +330 according to FanDuel. The Vikings and Bears are tied with +350 odds to win the division. This is a massive shift after an event that is historically volatile. Vegas must have liked what the Packers did to help the team.
Betting On Upside
At this point, a bet for the Packers is a bet on the upside of the team. I for one am excited to see Jordan Love however, we really have no clue what he will be. The receiver room doesn’t have anyone with more than two years of NFL experience. The team could start two rookie tight ends. The defense is full of blue-chip talent but Joe Barry is at the helm so who knows what will happen. Ultimately, FanDuel seems to be betting on the stability of the Packers organization and even responding a little to how the other teams drafted. The Vikings and Bears didn’t address key parts of their team and that could spell trouble once the season starts.

The Green Bay Packers division odds will most likely continue to fluctuate. The Lions will most likely stay as the favorite but depending on the training camp reports, the other three teams could spend a lot of time flip-flopping. If Love is decent and the young talent hits, the Packers could win some people a lot of money for betting on them.
