The Green Bay Packers made the NFL Playoffs for the third season in a row in 2025. And for the third season in a row, they failed to accomplish their main objective: making it to and winning the Super Bowl. The latest heartbreak came at the hands of the Chicago Bears, who erased a three-score deficit in the fourth quarter to knock the Packers out of the postseason.
Indeed, there are going to be sweeping changes in regards to Green Bay’s roster and [hopefully] coaching staff as they look to regroup for 2026. But one position that is firmly in good hands is the quarterback position, with Jordan Love entrenched as the starter. Regardless of what else happens to the roster, many, including former All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari, believe the team is in good hands with Love under center.
David Bakhtiari has confidence in Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love

While the loss to Chicago on Saturday in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs was frustrating, it is hard to put much blame on Love, who completed 24 of 46 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns. He did not throw a single interception.
After the game, Bakhtiari took to social media to express his confidence in the Packers’ quarterback:
Packers are in good hands with @jordan3love. Gonna keep them competitive for a long time. Next year the biggest opponent:
Injuries. 👀
Need the sports science department to get it right. Enough is enough.
— David Bakhtiari (@DavidBakhtiari) January 11, 2026
As one can see from the post above, Bakhtiari believes that Love will keep Green Bay competitive for a long time. However, he also believes that the Packers need to figure out a way to prevent and mitigate the costly injuries that plagued them all season long.
These injuries, of course, are no excuse for Green Bay’s season ending the way it did. That being said, the following players all missed time or were lost for the season due at some point during the year:
- Tucker Kraft
- Micah Parsons
- Jordan Love
- Zach Tom
- Aaron Banks
- Elgton Jenkins
- Lukas Van Ness
- Josh Jacobs
- Nate Hobbs
- Dontayvion Wicks
- Savion Williams
- Matthew Golden
And these are just a fraction of the players that spent time on injured reserve or otherwise missed multiple weeks of the season.
Indeed, football is a violent game and injuries happen. However, the Packers simply did not do enough to overcome them and there may be more that they can do to prevent them. If they can string together a run of weeks in 2026 with all or most of these players healthy, Green Bay could have a very successful season and postseason.
“Could” being the key word.
