The Green Bay Packers are looking to make moves in free agency and on the trade market before the 2025 NFL Draft. There will be some big fish on the trade market and in free agency this offseason.

One potential name that will be drawing interest from a ton of NFL teams is New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams will most likely be released from the Jets since they are also going to be moving on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Davante Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
Lombardiavenue.com Writer Keaton Gall Lists Davante Adams As a Realistic Target For the Green Bay Packers This Offseason

Lombardiavenue.com writer Keaton Gill listed five different players who could be realistic targets for the Green Bay Packers to sign this offseason. One name that Gill mentioned was wide receiver Davante Adams. Keaton Gill said:
“Perhaps a few of you have heard this name before. It does appear that the New York Jets will release superstar receiver Davante Adams, as they would save around $30 million. The Jets recently moved on from Aaron Rodgers, further proving that Adams is likely gone.
Adams played the first eight seasons of his career in Green Bay, where he became a superstar in the NFL. In a wide receiver room with no clear-cut first option, Adams would provide some much-needed stability for quarterback Jordan Love.
Both Love and running back Josh Jacobs have expressed their desire to have Adams join them in Green Bay, with even Adams himself saying that the Packers “need some receiver help” before adding, “maybe a veteran” during an appearance on Up & Adams.”
Davante Adams’ last season with the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets caught 85 passes for 1,063 yards, eight touchdowns, and also averaged 12.5 yards per reception. Adams was targeted 141 times. He was traded from the Raiders to the Jets during the middle of the 2024 season.
Adams Older Now

Adams is 32 years old, but he would no doubt be the top wide receiver on the Packers next season. Davante Adams has had over 1,000 yards receiving for the last five years and he has caught passes from different quarterbacks other than Aaron Rodgers in that time. Green Bay has not had a 1,000 yard receiver over the last two seasons and Adams would fix those woes instantly.
The Packers have a bunch of good number two wide receivers on the roster like Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed. Adams would upgrade this offense immediately and Jordan Love would look a lot better next season with throwing to Adams. A lot of Packers fans would be happy if he returned to the team.
