Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams had himself an All-Pro season last year despite playing with terrible quarterback play. Indeed, while Adams played well, the Raiders faltered around him. It was an incredibly frustrating year in many ways, and those frustrations erupted from Adams in an uncalled for incident on October 10 after a game against the eventual Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. On his way to the locker room, Adams shoved a videographer who crossed his path.
That videographer is now suing Adams, claiming that he feared for his life when Adams made contact with him.

Former Green Bay Packers Star Davante Adams Is Still Facing Charges for the Incident

After shoving the videographer, Paul Zebley, Adams was charged with misdemeanor assault. His next court appearance regarding the charges is scheduled for June 26. However, Zebley does not feel like the charges are adequate:
“A municipal misdemeanor battery charge is not sufficient. I’m looking for justice. You can’t shove someone down and walk off like it didn’t happen. Not in real life.”
Adams was asked, again, about the incident before Zebley filed his lawsuit:
“I mean, I wouldn’t look at the KC incident as something that – I don’t want to say I didn’t learn from it because that makes it sound like I’m not remorseful and stuff like that — but it was just an instance. It’s not something that I needed that to happen for me to know that was not the right thing to do. So, it was just something that happened.”
It is doubtful that this lawsuit makes it to a courtroom. Adams will probably look to settle out of court to avoid a time-consuming process that could ruin his focus and take him away from his commitments to the Raiders.
