Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams made headlines last week when he said that his play in 2022 proved that he did not need Aaron Rodgers. Last season, Adams had 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and a NFL-leading 14 touchdowns. He was able to put up these stats despite the poor play of Las Vegas quarterbacks Derek Carr and Jarrett Stidham.
Of course, the chance to play with Carr again was a big reason why Adams wanted to go to Las Vegas. He went so far as to say he was going from one Hall of Famer to another soon after the trade was completed. Now, Carr is projected to be the starting quarterback of the New Orleans Saints and the Raiders acquired Jimmy Garoppolo to be their starter. However, the Jimmy G Era in Vegas might be over before he even takes a snap.
Former Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Davante Adams Has a Quarterback Problem

Last December, Garoppolo injured his foot while playing for the San Francisco 49ers. While he initially did not need surgery, a procedure was required after he signed his contract with the Raiders. As a result, Garoppolo lost over $11 million that he was set to get as a signing bonus.
It gets worse for Garoppolo and the Raiders. A clause in his contract stated that if he failed a physical, the team could release him without any financial repercussions.
As for Adams, a First-Team All-Pro wide receiver, he will once again have his work cut out for him. Garoppolo, even if he does pass another physical before Week One (as is required by his contract), does not exactly light the world on fire as a quarterback. He is a good game manager, but is not much of an improvement over Carr. If he is not healthy and gets released, Adams will be in an even tougher situation.

No matter what Adam’s does its not gonna be enough. Only reason I say that is he has a coach that doesn’t know how to win and he traded off every one that is good. Got nothing for Carr. Got pretty much nothing for waller. Got a quarterback that is always injured. Now wants to trade Jacob’s and hunter Renfrew and seeing what he can get for Adams. This coach isn’t rebuilding he’s destroying what ever is left of the Raiders. Do they think Las Vegas wants a NFL team that is in middle of rebuilding.
Still better than green bay qb situation lol
