The Chicago Bears injury report has fewer names than the Packers
The Green Bay Packers have a few players listed as questionable on their Friday injury report. Three of them, David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, and Allen Lazard, are essential starters on the Packers roster. The Packers injury-laden squad struggled in the Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Their Week 2 opponent, the Chicago Bears, have a much smaller injury list than the Packers. However, the injury might hamper a major phase of the Bears game.
The Bears had three names on their list. Only one player, rookie wide receiver Velus Jones Jr., is listed as doubtful to play in Week 2 against the Packers on Sunday Night Football.

Jones has been battling a hamstring injury since training camp. That’s an injury the 25-year-old rookie had a history of in college. It appears the Packers will likely not have to face the dangerous return man.
Jones looked good in the preseason
Jones had an awe-inspiring performance in his preseason debut against the Seattle Seahawks. He nearly had a punt return taken to the house if not for poor blocking.

Jones also returned a kick-off for 31 yards for the Chicago Bears against the Seahawks. He was known as a fast specialist in college, where he excelled in returning punts and kickoffs for the Tennesee Volunteers. In the video above, Jones has the speed to be dangerous at the NFL level. Jones has the potential to take any kick or punt back for six with the moves and speed he possesses.
The Packers might catch a break by not being the team Jones debuts his regular season career against. Special teams can instantly change the game’s momentum with a quick touchdown after a score or defensive stop. And facing a returner who gives the opposing offense a short field can stress a defense. The Packers should be relieved not to face Jones this Sunday.
