The Green Bay Packers made a free-agent signing
The Green Bay Packers have had a mild start to free agency. The team has watched a few veterans on both sides of the ball sign with new teams. Two players, tight end Robert Tonyan and defensive lineman Dean Lowry, have signed with NFC North teams. The team has re-signed a few players but hasn’t received much outside help yet. Contract details have come out on the one free agent the Packers are bringing in from another team.
The Packers signed former Los Angeles Rams long-snapper Matt Orzech last week. It was reported to be a three-year deal, and more information has come out regarding his pay. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Orzech’s contract is for $3.675 million. $300,000 of that is a signing bonus. He will have base salaries of $1.08 million, $1.12 million, and $1.17 million.
