Green Bay Packers: Caleb Williams Already Reaches New Low As Chicago Bears Quarterback

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are the oldest rivalry in the NFL.  However, over the last few decades it hasn’t been much of a rivalry.  Since 1993, the Packers own a 48-14 record over their rivals to the south.

Once every few years the Bears get excited about the future of their program via some high draft picks or free agent acquisition.  That was especially true this season.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, Caleb Williams was the Bears’ top pick. The Bears are hoping he proves that he has the talent and qualities to become thier next (and maybe first ever) franchise quarterback. There will, however, be doubts and criticisms until he proves himself on the field.

Unfortunately for him, he has brought some additional pressure upon himself by attacking the Packers. The Bears and Packers play twice in 2024 in Weeks 11 and 18.

According to Angelo Guinhawa of Athlon Sports:

Green Bay Packers fans are piling up on Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams due to a recent video roasting the Wisconsin franchise.

On Sunday, a video of Williams celebrating while some fans chant “Green Bay sucks” surfaced online. According to Barstool, the rookie quarterback was at the Old Crow Smokehouse in Chicago along with teammate Rome Odunze in the said clip

Of course the video spread like wildfire on social media. And while Bears fans are already loving their quarterback embracing the storied rivalry, the Packers–obviously–aren’t too pleased.

Many Packers faithful were quick to call out Williams and warn him. After all, Green Bay has been dominating the Chicago franchise for years–with the Bears actually owning a 2-18 record against their rivals over the last 10 years.

“GREEN BAY OWNS CHICAGO,” a Packers fan reminded Williams. Another one said, “Bears have lost their last 10 games to the packers. But yes, go on.”

Caleb Williams is certainly embracing the Packers-Bears rivalry already.  Will he live up to the hype?  Or be the next QB to have a losing record to Green Bay?
