The Green Bay Packers will be focusing on the future after proving they have a bright future in 2023. Jordan Love’s first full season as a starter resulted in Green Bay being one of the final four remaining teams standing in the NFC.
With that being said, the Packers will not only look to improve next season, but ensure the longevity of the team’s success. That may mean moving on from a few veterans. Today, General Manager Brian Gutekunst may have signified the end of one offensive All-Pro.
Green Bay Packers General Manger May Have Just Signified The End Of David Bakhtiari’s Time With Team
According to Jason Hirschhorn:
Packers GM Brian Gutekunst on David Bakhtiari’s future in Green Bay: “We’re still at the beginning stages of looking at how we’re going to move forward with all that.
We’re monitoring (his recovery). I know he’s working his tail off.”
While that statement alone may not signify Bakhtiari’s time ending in Green Bay, if you couple it with what he said prior to that, it speaks volumes:
Do you want Aaron Jones back?
AbsolutelyWhat about David Bakhtiari?

Several noteworthy players on the Packers’ roster need to be addressed now that the 2023 season has ended. One of the most important questions is what will the Packers do with three-time Pro Bowl left tackle David Bakhtiari.
Bakhtiari’s cap hit in 2024 will be nearly $40 million, however, the Packers can save $21 million by cutting him. Bakhtiari may also be given a chance to stay in Green Bay even after knee injuries have limited him to 13 games the past three seasons. A restructured contract would almost certainly be needed for this.
One thing is for sure, the Packers’ general manger is steadfast on keeping Aaron Jones in Green Bay. David Bakhtiari on the other hand seems much more up in the air.
