Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has had many controversial takes on Twitter in the past about politics, football, and other things in his life. Favre won one Super Bowl title in his NFL career with the Packers.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre reacts to his 2-point conversion during the third quarter against the New england Patriots during the Super Bowl on Jan. 26, 1997, at the Superdome in New Orleans, La. At the time of Favre’s retirement he held many of the Green bay’s passing records as well as several league records. Favre won three consecutive league MVPs, in 1995, ’96 and ’97. His career includes two Super Bowl appearances with one win.

Brett Favre is not the only former NFL player who has spoken up about politics in this polarizing world. It will not be the last time that someone speaks up about what someone believes in before the 2024 presidential election.

Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Brett Favre Approves Of Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes Political Take

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard (94) nearly gets hand on the ball as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) throws in the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 2 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024. The Chiefs took a 26-25 win with a go-ahead field goal as time expired.

Over the last week, Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election and many fans were not happy with her about the move. However, there were a lot of people who did sign up to vote because of her.

Last week, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes spoke out about the 2024 presidential election. He did not endorse a candidate and neither did WNBA star Caitlin Clark. Some thought it smart for Mahomes to not endorse anyone including Brett Favre. Favre said on his Twitter account:

“Good take by Mahomes — I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”

Brett Favre is 100 correct by this take. If people are going to vote for someone based on a pop star and not because of actual policy and doing their research, then it is a major problem. People should not vote for Kamala Harris just because Taylor Swift endorsed her or vice versa.

Mahomes’ Wife Has Supported Donald Trump

The Bengals led 16-10 at halftime.

Patrick Mahomes’s wife, Britanny Mahomes, has been a big supporter of Donald Trump. Trump even tweeted back and thanked the family for being big supporters for them. There is no problem with her endorsing him either.

However, Patrick Mahomes may have faced backlash if he endorsed him over Kamala Harris. We are in a climate where people can not think for themselves anymore. Brett Favre is right, it is time for people to start thinking for themselves again.
