The Green Bay Packers did all they could to prevent the strong defense of the Minnesota Vikings from overwhelming their offense. However, their NFC North rivals proved too much for them as they suffered a bitter 31-29 loss.
There are various factors behind the Packers’ Week 4 loss, but some may point to Jordan Love’s frantic rush to get back under center against the Vikings as the biggest reason for the team getting the loss. It was obvious from the get-go that Love was incredibly rusty and had no business playing against one of the best defenses in the league.
While some cynical pockets of the Packers fandom may question Matt LaFleur’s decision to rush things when they had a capable backup in Malik Willis, Brett Favre shares one message that should motivate the young signal caller to look past the loss with a better outlook.

Love didn’t have the best game in his return under center, throwing for 389 yards, with his three picks erasing whatever momentum his four passing TDs created. It seemed to Packers fans that the 25-year-old wasn’t able to shake off the rustiness that came with sitting out of playing on the field for two weeks.
However, Favre told the young QB to keep his chin up. The legendary Packer, who is facing a tough battle of his own, went on social media and expressed his support to the latest talisman of the best football team in Wisconsin.
Per The Spun’s Chris Rosvoglou:
“Just a reminder that one game, one play, or one pass doesn’t define you,” Favre wrote. “Way to show resilience today. You have a long career ahead. Just keep going forward.”
While it is impressive that Love showcased great heart to fight through injury and play an important NFC North matchup, the NFL is a league where results matter. Love and the rest of the Green Bay Packers offense understand that and will aspire to bounce back in their next game.
