The Green Bay Packers have an incredible run of quarterback play over the past three-plus decades. Brett Favre, of course, kicked off this string of play when he was acquired by Green Bay in a trade with the Atlanta Falcons in 1992. He spent 15 incredible years with the Packers, winning three NFL MVP Awards and a Super Bowl while appearing in a second Super Bowl a year after the first.
Aaron Rodgers, who is currently mulling retirement, won four NFL MVP Awards and a Super Bowl in his 15 seasons as the starting quarterback in Green Bay. Jordan Love, with two seasons under his belt, is trying to carry on the legacy his two predecessors laid, but will need to improve his own play if he is to do so.
One of the most common insults rival fans like to throw at the Packers is that they only won two Super Bowls with Favre and Rodgers (while those rivals won exactly zero). Favre, though, thinks he could have had more if he had been teamed up with on specific player.
Brett Favre Believes the Green Bay Packers Would Have Won More Super Bowls with Barry Sanders
Favre had the fortune of playing with some great Packers teammates. Those mid-to-late 1990’s teams were stacked with talent on both sides of the ball, including some of his fellow Pro Football Hall of Famers (Reggie White, LeRoy Butler).
However, they were able to win just one Super Bowl, something Favre thinks could have been different if the Packers had found a way to get Barry Sanders:

Sanders, of course, spent all of his Hall of Fame career with the Detroit Lions. The Packers selecting Tony Mandrich over him in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft is still considered one of the biggest blunders in draft history.
Mandrich, of course, washed out of the NFL after a few short seasons. Meanwhile, Sanders rushed for 15,269 yards, the fourth most all time (and second most at the time of his retirement).
Indeed, a Packers offense led by Favre and Sanders, who were co-MVP’s of the NFL in 1997, would have a force to be reckoned with.
Who knows how many Super Bowls they would have won? Favre seems to think a lot.
