“Yeah We’d Love Too”: Green Bay Packers Brian Gutekunst Provides Update On Brandon McManus Return For 2025

The Green Bay Packers had some kicking battles during training camp last year. Greg Joseph and Anders Carlson battled for the job in camp, but Green Bay decided to move off of both kickers instead and claim Brayden Narveson.

During the first few weeks of the season, Narveson struggled and the Packers decided to release him. They signed Brandon McManus for the rest of the season after that and some Green Bay fans had mixed reactions to the team signing him. McManus is a free agent.

Green Bay Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst Provides Update On Tuesday About Brandon McManus

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst talked to the media on Tuesday about many different topics. One of the topics that was brought up was about the future of McManus being the team’s kicker for the 2025 season. Gutekunst said:

“Yeah, we’d love to. We’re working towards that end. We’ll see where that goes.”

It would be a good thing to bring back McManus. If they do not bring him back for next season, they may have to use one of their later-round draft picks on a kicker. The Packers have met with a couple of kickers during the Senior Bowl. What Green Bay can not have heading into next season is more questions at kicker especially if they can’t bring back McManus.
