The Green Bay Packers are facing some uncertainty on their coaching staff following their 31-27 loss to the Chicago Bears last Saturday night. While the team is currently negotiating a contract extension with head coach Matt LaFleur, no deal has been agreed upon as of yet despite days of talks between the two side.
Additionally, there are currently nine open head coaching jobs in the NFL, and defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley is interviewing for five of them. In fact, he just completed his interview with the Miami Dolphins, whose search for a new head coach is new general manager Jon Eric-Sullivan, formerly of Green Bay’s front office.
And Hafley is not the only defensive coach with ties to the Packers that Eric-Sullivan is looking at as his team’s new head coach.
Former Green Bay Packers linebackers coach Anthony Campanile is interviewing with the Miami Dolphins

Anthony Campanile was Green Bay’s linebackers coach in 2024. During his short stint with the Packers, he received praise for getting the most out of Quay Walker and helping fan-favorite Edgerrin Cooper become the high-profile player that he is.
So well-regarded was Campanile by teams around the NFL that he was hired by the Jacksonville Jaguars to be their defensive coordinator in 2025.
And now, he is interviewing with Eric-Sullivan and the Dolphins to be their next head coach:

Should Campanile get the job, it would be a sort of homecoming for him as he served as the Dolphins’ linebackers coach from 2020-2023. They were the first NFL team to employ his services as a coach.
Prior to coaching in Miami, Campanile coached on the college level at Rutgers, Boston College, and Michigan.
