It appears as if the Green Bay Packers have made the decision to move on from 16-year veteran Mason Crosby. As if drafting kicker Anders Carlson in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft was not enough of a sign, Crosby’s wife indicated in a response to Simone Biles’ Tweet asking for Green Bay recommendations that her family’s time with the organization was at an end.
As the Packers move on into a new era with a plethora of young players, there are plenty of questions surrounding Crosby’s replacement. For his part, Carlson believes that the Packers are the right fit for him.
Anders Carlson Believes the Green Bay Packers Are the Right Fit for Him Following Mason Crosby Era

According to Mike Spofford of packers.com, Carlson had the following to say regarding how he feels he will fit with Green Bay going forward:
“Yeah, Green Bay is a great situation. When you kind of looked at the landscape of kicking, there were a lot of open spots honestly. It was a great year for kickers coming out of college.
“But Green Bay was definitely my top pick looking in the draft. Just the good things I’ve heard about the program in total, and Rich as well.
“The biggest thing is he pushes you,. He gets you uncomfortable, gets you to places where you’ll feel like you’re in a game, and if you can perform then, you can perform in a game.”
Bisaccia is known for his work with kickers, and helped Carlson’s brother, Daniel, become an All-Pro kicker with the Las Vegas Raiders. There have been some concerns about Anders’ health and consistency following a torn ACL in college, but if there is any coach that can get the best out of him, it is Rich Bisaccia.
Packers fans saw how quickly Bisaccia turned the horrid Packers return game into one of the best in the NFL. Now, they will get to see him attempt the same thing with the team’s kicking unit.
