The Green Bay Packers brought out massive amount of money to get the services of Aaron Banks and rightfully so, he is going to be relied on a lot in the offensive line.
In fact, he is expected to level up that department of the system.
Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich talked to reporters on Monday and among the topics he touched on is the role of Banks in the o-line. He thinks the 27-year-old guard can level up that area.
“We’ve got some really good competition across the entire offensive line. Love (Aaron) Banks’ physicality,” Stenavich said.
“I think he’s really going to step up our game there. Just a good veteran presence. He’s a guy that we’re going to lean on in a lot of different situations. I’m excited about having him in there to up our physicality, for sure.”

He added that it was not just Banks who can spice things up for him.
“There’s a lot of good competition. The guys we’ve added plus the guys getting older and getting more experience, it’s going to be really interesting to see how this all shakes out.”

What the offensive coordinator said about Banks is consistent with what general manager Brian Gutekunst sees in him.
“His ability to play physical in the run game and also anchor down in the pass pro is something where, he’s played at a high level for a few years now,” Gutekunst said back in March after confirming their signing of the Notre Dame standout.

“And to get a guy like that really in the prime of his career is something I thought would really benefit us.”
Banks signed a four-year, $77 million contract on March 18 with the team and although some thought it was too much, his rich post-season experience with the San Francisco 49ers is also considered.
