Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have been trying to get a deal done with the New York Jets for over a month now. While it is still presumed that the Jets are still the favorites to land Aaron Rodgers, multiple other teams have officially reached out regarding Aaron Rodgers. One of those teams has the need and ability to offer a massive haul for the four-time MVP quarterback.
San Francisco 49ers Can Offer Major Haul For Quarterback Aaron Rodgers
Former NFL running back Tiki Barber had this to say regarding the pending Aaron Rodgers trade:
All of this little simmering coming out of this thing about Aaron Rodgers actually going to the 49ers instead of the Jets actually has some validity,” Barber said. “If the 49ers trade Trey Lance, and Brock Purdy isn’t available to play this year because of UCL surgery…they will go get – and they’re OK with mortgaging their future – this team will go get Aaron Rodgers if he’s available, and the Jets will be stuck sitting out in the cold with their underwear on, and that’s it.
If the trade between the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers fall through, the San Francisco 49ers could try to swoop in and steal the four-time MVP. Aaron Rodgers would immediately make the 49ers one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl after they reached the NFC Championship Game last season.
It would still be pretty surprising to see the Packers send Aaron Rodgers to another NFC team. If they did, however, the return could be massive. The 49ers know they would have to offer a pretty tremendous deal to get Aaron Rodgers. This is what our projection of that trade looks like:
San Francisco 49ers Receive:
- QB Aaron Rodgers
Green Bay Packers Receive:
- 2024 First-Round Pick
- 2023 Third-Round Pick (No. 99)
- DT Arik Armstead
Arik Armstead has been widely rumored to be a trade candidate for the San Francisco 49ers. Getting him in Green Bay could finally give the Packers someone to team up with Kenny Clark. Second year DT Devonte Wyatt showed signs of life in 2022, however, Armstead would give the Packers a lot more depth. Getting that first round pick in 2024 would be big as well.

At the beginning of last year I wanted to se a Rodgers for Jared Goff trade because there was no way Rodgers alone could turn the Lions around. Look at them now! But if Bill Belichick wants to move on from Mac Jones, I’d love to see him in Green Bay.
49ers should of not traded their draft pick n been able to pick Roger’s instead Smith n letting him go to Ĝrean Bay in the first place. Probably would of had 3 or more Superbowls wins with him. They should do what they have to n pick him up now. Roger’s would give them a Superbowl win. Roger’s should go for it best chance he has to win one before he retires. If he goes to Jets he will retire with only the 1 Superbowl win. Chances with the Jets is not going to happen 49ers yes.
I appreciate the enthusiasm, but this isn’t much of a “huge” haul. Lance and Love are both totally unproven and most likely busts. GB has no one left at WR save the kid last year that came on at the end. With their decimated roster, thx to the Rodgers vs Management teenage quarrel over the last 5 years we’re looking at the basement of the north division for several years minimum to come. And to think any smart GM would have taken T Higgins vs Love and Rodgers would’ve had Adams and Higgins to throw to the last few years. Now Rodgers is a guy who cares more about his ego than winning and is worthless to the Pack, so keeping him would be a terrible option as well.
