The Green Bay Packers are in the midst of a franchise-altering off-season. The pending Aaron Rodgers trade will effectively turn over the team to QB Jordan Love. It has, however, been over three weeks since Aaron Rodgers declared he intends to play for the New York Jets in 2023. With no trade being announced, multiple other teams have reportedly entered the mix for the four-time MVP quarterback. In response to that, New York Jets GM made a public announcement regarding Aaron Rodgers.

‘My intention is to play for the New York Jets,’ Rodgers told McAfee, confirming reports that he had requested a move to the Jets rather than return to the Packers or retire after 18 NFL seasons.
‘I haven’t been holding anything up at this point,’ Rodgers added while claiming to have received interest from other teams. ‘It’s been compensation that the Packers are trying to get for me, and kinda digging their heels in.’
The Jets were poised for a possible playoff spot in the early weeks of the 2022 season, however, their lack of a consistent quarterback through sloppy play by Zach Wilson and injuries to Mike White saw them fall out of contention. The Jets feel they are one missing piece away from a serious Super Bowl run. Many Green Bay Packers fans were delighted to see the Jets GM make this type of public announcement. Many thought it gave the Packers even more leverage in trade talks:
But the question is when?

Think the deals probably already been done and agreed to. Felt this way since the jets gm was asked about Lamar… they are probably just waiting until the draft for the leagues sake, or until after June 1st because of rodgers contract. I highly doubt they are still negotiating.
