The Green Bay Packers will be without one of their top offensive weapons on Monday Night.
Aaron Jones will not be available in Green Bay’s Monday Night clash against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jones was a limited participant in practice all week, and Head Coach Matt Lafleur said he didn’t do less work on Saturday than on Thursday and Friday. Green Bay has a bye week after this, so ensuring that Jones is 100 percent coming after the bye week is the correct measure to take for a top offensive weapon.
With Aaron Jones’ absence, the Green Bay Packers fanbase doesn’t believe AJ Dillon can get the job done.
How fast a year can change.
A year ago, AJ Dillon was a fan favorite, but now, most of the fanbase wants him off the team. Despite every metric in the book saying that Dillon is most effective in the winter months, his play so far this season has drawn scrutiny from the fans.
In a corresponding move, the team has elevated Patrick Taylor ahead of Monday’s game.

We really got AJ Dillon as our starter tonight

Give Wilson the start and majority of the carries. If the run defense and running game are porous tonight and MLF continues with Barry and Dillion, he should be shown the door

Patrick Taylor if he gets called up or Emanuel Wilson?

Packers still running for over 200 yards against us

Will Green Bay Packers RB AJ Dillon break out in Monday Night’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders?
It is worth noting that the Las Vegas Raiders have the worst run defense in the NFL, so if there’s a time for AJ Dillon to have a breakout game, this would be it. There’s no doubt that AJ Dillon has struggled this year. Green Bay has gone up against solid defenses, and there are a lot of moving parts with Matt LaFleur calling plays for a first-year starting quarterback and the number of young weapons the Green Bay Packers have on offense. It’s difficult to make sure everyone gets their touches on the offensive side of the ball. LaFleur has been criticized this season because he hasn’t involved Aaron Jones consistently on offense, and with Jones being out, it’s an opportunity for AJ Dillon to put together a solid performance before the bye week.
It’ll be interesting to see if AJ Dillon can take advantage of a porous Las Vegas Raiders run defense.
