Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones returned to practice on Thursday from his hamstring injury. On Friday, was getting stretched out inside when the media viewing ended a portion of Packers practice. It will be interesting to see what happens this weekend whether or not Jones will be able to play.
At this point in current time, it feels as if Aaron Jones will be questionable to play with a hamstring injury on Sunday in the home opener against the New Orleans Saints (2-0). If he is able to go this weekend, it would be a big help to this offense. If Jones is not able to go again this weekend, it would be another big loss for this offense.
A.J. Dillon would start for the second consecutive game at the running back position if ruled out. Emanuel Wilson or Patrick Taylor Jr. would maybe get some carries as well if Jones was ruled out.
Green Bay Packers Aaron Jones Feels like a 50-50 Proposition for Sunday’s Contest Against the Saints
If Jones was on the field today right after a stretch that would have been one thing. He got stretched out instead of being on the field with his teammates after the fact. The fact he wasn’t totally not doing anything the last two days wasn’t terrible. Jones is going to feel like 50-50 for Sunday’s game because of the last two days of Green Bay Packers practice.
It will be interesting to see what head coach Matt LaFleur is going to say about him and his availability later on. Jones is one of the most important pieces on this offense. They will need his services this weekend against one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Without him, they may have a difficult time winning on Sunday. They don’t want to lose two games in a row but they need Jones on offense to have a shot in this one. AJ Dillon is not as good as Jones is.
