This offseason, the Green Bay Packers are seeing their rivals go through change. The Chicago Bears decided to hire Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as head coach this offseason.
Aaron Glenn, the Detroit Lions’ defensive coordinator, was the front-runner for the New York Jets head coaching job. The Lions finished with a 15-3 record this past season. Detroit may not be the same team next season.
Green Bay Packers Rival Detroit Lions Lose Defensive Coordinator Aaron Glenn To the New York Jets
On Wednesday, it was announced by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Jets are hiring Aaron Glenn as their next head coach. Glenn used to play for the New York Jets. This is an interesting hire for New York.
With the Detroit Lions losing both of their coordinators this offseason, it will be interesting to see who Dan Campbell hires as offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator for next season. The Green Bay Packers rival might take a step back in the 2025 NFL season.

the Jets have a lot to dispose of currently. Outside of a few positions, seems to be an older team on their last leg.
I would expect a lot of movement this offseason

Dan Campbell and his “tough guy” attitude changed the culture in Detroit. But culture will only get you 8-9 wins.
His coordinators carried him. You’re about to see the proof next season.— Coach Lamers (@AndrewLamers) January 22, 2025
I’m sure lions fans will be rational about this

Many Green Bay Packers fans and other fans think that the Lions will not be the same next season without Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn. This will be an important offseason for Lions head coach Dan Campbell to get the new coordinator hires right. The NFC North will feel different next year. Also, with the Detroit Lions losing Aaron Glenn to the New York Jets, they will receive two compensatory picks in the third-round of the NFL Draft for the next two seasons.
