The Green Bay Packers have not won a Super Bowl title since Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers and there is hope Green Bay can win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2025. The Packers have +2500 odds next season to win it all, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Packers or someone else is looking to end the possibility of the Kansas City Chiefs having a three-peat. It has never happened in NFL history and it will be interesting to see what happens. There are reasons why the Green Bay Packers can go all the way next season.
The Main Reason the Green Bay Packers Can Win Super Bowl LIX Next Season Is Because of Quarterback Jordan Love
In order to win the Super Bowl, teams need to have special at the quarterback position. Jordan Love is one of those players that has the chance to be special moving forward. Green Bay has won a title with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers in the past. Love has the potential to bring another Lombardi Trophy home to Green Bay, Wisconsin one day.
A season ago, he completed 64.2% of his passes for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Jordan Love made some spectacular throws during the regular season and the postseason. The quarterbacks to have won a Super Bowl over the last five seasons are Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes three times.
Love is just scratching the surface. He could be a hot-betting favorite to win the NFL MVP Award next season. Jordan Love got better as the season went on and he only has room to grow.
The Packers are Switching To a 4-3 Defensive Scheme
Green Bay decided to make a switch on the defensive side of the football. They fired Joe Barry as defensive coordinator and they hired Jeff Hafley. Hafley is making the switch from a 3-4 defensive scheme to a 4-3 defensive scheme.
One of the things Green Bay has had trouble with is trying to stop the run. One of Hafley’s philosophies is trying to stop the run first. They will need to fix personnel to fit his scheme and they should be able to find the players they need.
Rashan Gary, Lukas Van Ness, and Quay Walker are three players who could benefit big-time with a new defensive coordinator. They will also have to fix the secondary.
Young Wide Receivers Continue To Emerge
The NFL is now a quarterback-wide receiver-friendly league. Green Bay is developing talented young wide receivers. The Packers have four legit wide receivers on its roster with Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks.
Green Bay also has two very young tight ends in Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft. Neither wide receiver or tight end had a 1,000-yard receiving season, but Reed has the best chance to have 1,000 yards in his second season after leading the team in receiving yards. All of these weapons for quarterback Jordan Love are trustworthy.
