The Green Bay Packers would currently own the ninth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft if the regular season ended today. Green Bay currently has a 2-3 record so far this season and there is a long way to go. The Packers could be in a unique spot this season if they were drafting in the top 10.
They could land a bunch of very good players. Green Bay can be one of the few teams that does not have to take a quarterback within the Top 10 of the 2024 NFL Draft. It is very possible that the Chicago Bears, the Arizona Cardinals, the Denver Broncos, the New York Giants, and the New England Patriots all draft a quarterback in the Top 10. The Minnesota Vikings are another NFL team that can draft a quarterback.
Only the Chicago Bears and the Tennessee Titans may not draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Who can the Green Bay Packers select with the ninth overall selection?
The Green Bay Packers Would Trip Over the Podium If Offensive Tackle Olu Fashanu From Penn State is Available Ninth Overall in the 2024 NFL Draft

Green Bay needs help on the offensive line in the worst way, especially on the left side. Olu Fashanu is no doubt a top 10 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft or talent for that matter. He is currently playing left tackle for Penn State and that is what the Packers need. Olu Fashanu is 6’6″ and weighs 317 lbs. They would have their left tackle for the next decade if this happened.
Joe Alt, Notre Dame

Joe Alt is a 6’8″ and 322 lbs offensive lineman for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He is another franchise-altering tackle. Alt is more of a right tackle, but he can also play left tackle. Alt can be another solid available player for the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Jer’Zhan Newton, Illinois

For people who complain about the Green Bay Packers defense led by defensive coordinator Joe Barry, this player would be the first guy to potentially solve some of those problems on the defensive line. Jer’Zhan Newton is a 6’2″ 295 lbs defensive tackle who can be a disruptor up the middle. He has recorded 29 total tackles and has recorded 2.5 sacks so far this season for the Fighting Illini. Newton also has two pass deflections and this could be a huge get for the Green Bay Packers.
