The 2023 offseason for the Green Bay Packers has and will continue to be the most exciting and craziest time yet. With Aaron Rodgers potentially being traded and constant rumors spreading about the situation between the front office and players, fans cannot wait to see what else is in store for the Packers. We haven’t even hit the draft yet, and it’s been a very intense offseason, not only around the Packers but the NFL as a whole.
Rodgers vs Packers
Over a month ago, rumors would spread about Aaron Rodgers going into his Darkness Retreat and rumors of if he would decide on playing or retiring. Shortly after the retreat, it was reported that the New York Jets would fly to California to talk to Rodgers. Again rumors would begin to spread. Finally, he would appear on the Pat McAfee Show show to clear the air and announce he intends to play for the Jets. Now daily, Packer fans see reports and rumors of the possible trade we are waiting for. As of last weekend, the New York Jets GM reassured fans that Aaron Rodgers “will be here.”
Other Players This Offseason

Early in the offseason, before any of the Rodgers drama happened, it was reported that Aaron Jones’ contract would get restructured to stay with the team in 2023. In addition, multiple other players would get their contracts restructured to give the Packers wiggle room in salary cap space. In addition, There are many different players who praised Jordan Love, and look forward to working with him. Aaron Jones was one of those players and has also been seen working out with Love this offseason. In a recent interview with Bussin With The Boys, David Bakhtiari said the Packers are in a rebuild, which has rubbed the fanbase the wrong way. To some it seems like Bak isn’t being a team leader/ player, but there is no denying that rebuilding needs to occur with a new QB.
Overall we are still waiting for many answers from the Green Bay Packers this offseason. This has been one of the oddest offseason, with many people talking and no answers. With the NFL draft starting in less than two weeks, and fans patiently waiting to hear any more news of the Green Bay Packers, but be prepared as a fan to have what will feel like a very long offseason.
