With joy and excitement, opening week for the NFL has arrived! The Green Bay Packers start out their 2020 campaign against their division rivals, the Minnesota Vikings. Though it is only the first game of the season, there is already critical NFC North standing placements at stake. Let’s take a look at which Packer players should be considered in your fantasy starting lineup this week:
- Aaron Rodgers
This should come as a no-brainer as Rodgers should always be considered as QB1 on any fantasy lineup. The Vikings come into the 2020 season with a depleted secondary from last year from a talent perspective and Danielle Hunter being placed on IR will give Aaron more breathing room to sling passes and get fantasy teams the points they need to win the week.
2. Davante Adams
Similar to Aaron Rodgers, Adams is a for sure starter in any fantasy lineup at any point this season. The Vikings will more than likely match Mike Hughes on Adams with Harrison Smith shadowing him. Regardless, I do not see many issues with this match up, thus giving Davante the opportunity to have a field day!
3. Mason Crosby
2020 comes as an important year to Mason Crosby as it is a new contract year. Since Crosby’s horrendous 2012 season (21 of 33 FG’s made), Crosby has been on a consistent upward trend in terms of field goal percentage. With US Bank Stadium being a domed stadium, obviously Crosby does not have any weather elements to worry about. At the age of 36, Crosby still possesses the capability and talent to come in clutch situations and make (yes, make) 40+ yard attempts to get you the few points to beat your opponent!
