Green Bay needs Tee Higgins and Charvarious Ward

The Packers are in desperate need of a number one receiver and a cornerback. Two names will be on the market, and Green Bay needs them desperately.

Tee Higgins is simply the biggest and best name in the wide receiver market for the 2025 free agent class.

The Bengals star receiver has logged 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns in five seasons with Cincinnati.

Higgins has been a number two receiver behind Ja’Marr Chase, but he has shown that he could thrive as a number one with ease.

    Why Jordan Love Needs Him

The Packers have had a deep wideout room in the last two seasons with Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks.

The problem is, none of these guys are star receivers or number ones. Reliability has been another issue with them. Whether it’s injuries or consistent play, it’s plagued the Packers offense.

Jordan Love didn’t have the greatest 2024 season, but having a true number one option would’ve helped him in a massive way.

Adding Tee Higgins and having Jayden Reed as a number two receiver can really open up the field for Green and throw off opposing defenses. This is something they desperately could’ve used versus Philadelphia in the Wild Card.

    Why They Need Charvarious Ward

Jaire Alexander has a great chance of no longer being a Green Bay Packer next season. The star cornerback was a cornerstone to the Packers but injuries have plagued his career.

Looking for a replacement to Alexander’s on-field production will be difficult, but one name will be a solid addition.

Charvarious Ward will be one of the top free agent cornerbacks in the 2025 free agent class. Ward is an All-Pro corner that has helped lead the 49ers to having some great defenses.

Green Bay has had a top five defense but the absences of Alexander have hurt them when it’s mattered the most. Ward will be an instant impact to the secondary that plays elite wide receivers multiple times a year.

What Adding Higgins and Ward Would Do

The addition of Tee Higgins and Charvarious Ward would open up even more doors for the Green Bay Packers.

The NFC North division will be one of the best in football again, and to beat the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay needs to make some adjustments.

Adding Higgins will create more of a nightmare for opposing defenses, and adding Ward will add more firepower to the secondary.

Green Bay needs to have a stellar offseason to be back in the mix of championship contention. Coach Matt LaFleur claimed that they don’t need to add veteran presence, but they absolutely need to. It will change the landscape of their game and hopes of the Lombardi.
