Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander hobbled off the field in the fourth quarter after the Jacksonville Jaguars tied the game at 27 before the Packers drove down for the game-winning field goal. The touchdown by the Jaguars was the last time the defense was on the field on Sunday.
Last season, Alexander missed several games because of injury. This is not the first time that he has dealt with an injury over the past couple of NFL seasons.
Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Avoided Major Injury
The former Louisville Cardinals cornerback avoided a major injury over the weekend. According to a source who told The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, it said:
“Nothing bad on Jaire Alexander’s knee after today’s checkup.”
This is very good news for Green Bay’s defense. Alexander has played a huge role on this defense this season. They are not very deep at the cornerback position to begin with. This season, he has recorded 16 tackles, one forced fumble, two interceptions, one touchdown, and seven pass deflections.

I have never seen a packers team avoid major injuries this many times in a year. Usually we’d have lost half our roster by now. God is personally chaperoning us to the Super Bowl

Great news. If only my fantasy team could get such a clean bill of health, my doctor would be out of a job!

Let Jaire and Love both sit this week, if we lose we lose. Give them both 2 full weeks to rest and come back full-go after the bye

He knees to show up for games with stud WRs (every game, basically).

Call me a cynic, but I’m not surprised by this, which makes it all the more irritating that let up on a critical play to hop around like he blew out his knee.

The Green Bay Packers could very well have a heavy injury report when they start practicing this week for the Detroit Lions game. Jaire Alexander, Evan Williams, and Jordan Love are just some of the key players who could very well be on the injury report. After this weekend, they will be heading toward the bye week.
After the bye week, the Packers will face the Chicago Bears on the road. Injuries or not, the Green Bay Packers have critical NFC North divisional games coming up.
