Milwaukee Bucks guard Grayson Allen is one of eight NBA players currently with a 40-50-90 shooting season on their 2022-23 stat line.
Grayson Allen has a 40-50-90 shooting season on his stat line this season
Allen is shooting 40.2% on three-pointers, 51.1% on two-point shots, and 90.5% on free throws this season. He has never had a 40-50-90 shooting season in his career.
Allen, who is in his fifth season in the league, is one of eight players who’s current shooting percentages in these three categories are above the 40-50-90 line (minimum of 25 games played this season to qualify for the list). The other seven players: A.J. Griffin (Atlanta), T.J. McConnell (Indiana). Luke Kennard (L.A. Clippers), Ty Jerome (Golden State), Steph Curry (Golden State), Seth Curry (Brooklyn) and Vlatko Cancar (Denver).
Steph Curry is shooting for his sixth 40-50-90 season in his career. He is currently tied with Steve Nash for most 40-50-90 seasons with five. Here are the eight players who have had two or more 40-50-90 seasons in the NBA (minimum of 25 games played in the season to qualify):
NBA players with most 40-50-90 seasons
5-Steph Curry, Steve Nash
3-Jose Calderon, Kyrie Irving
2-J.J. Redick, Mark Price, Larry Bird, Scott Hastings
There are 22 players who each had one 40-50-90 season.
Among those 22 players with one 40-50-90 season are four players with ties to the Bucks… former players Ray Allen, Tony Snell and Jon Barry each have a 40-50-90 season in their career. Current Bucks’ broadcaster and former Marquette player Steve Novak had a 40-50-90 season in 2008-09 with the L.A. Clippers.
Allen would become third Bucks player in history to reach 40-50-90
If he can end the season with these 40-50-90 shooting percentages, Allen would become the third Bucks player in history to accomplish this feat. The others are Malcolm Brogdon (he did it with the Bucks in 2018-19) and Khris Middleton who went 40-50-90 for Milwaukee in the 2019-20 season.
