The Green Bay Packers ended their 2022 season with a 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.
Here are a few stats, good and bad, that helped define that contest.
Bad Stat: The Packers ended the season 8-9, their first losing season since 2018 when they went 6-9-1.
Keisean Nixon extended his team record
Good Stat: Keisean Nixon had 38 return yards on punts and 79 return yards on kick-off for a total of 117 kick return yards. It was the eighth straight game that he had 100 or more kick return yards, extending his streak to a team record eight games.
Bad Stat: Aaron Rodgers had a Passer Rating of 83.1 in the game. It was his worst PR in a home game this season. Rodgers had four games with a PR under 85; two of them came against the Lions… yesterday, and the first game against the Lions where Rodgers had his worst PR of the season, 53.5.
Bad Stat: For the first time in Rodgers career as Packers’ starting QB, he did not have a game with 300 passing yards this season. His best was 291 vs. Detroit in Game #9. This was the first year the Pack did not have a game with 300 yards passing since 1992, Brett Favre’s first year as Packers starting quarterback.
Good Stat, Bad Stat: Green Bay was 7-3 in 2022 in games where they scored 20 or more points; they were 1-6 in games where they scored fewer than 20 points
Bad Stat: Former Packer Jamaal Williams scored 17 rushing TDs for the Lions this year, a new team single-season record. The Packers as a team this season had only 12 rushing TDs. Williams in his four seasons with the Packers had a total of 10 rushing touchdowns.
Mason Crosby jumps into the Top 10 in this category
Good Stat: Mason Crosby scored 10 points in the game on three field goals and one extra point. It was the 68th regular season game in his career that he scored 10 or more points in a game. That ties him for 10th place on the NFL all-time list with John Carney.
Bad Stat: After consecutive weeks with four takeaways, the Packers did not have a takeaway in the game versus the Lions. They had two turnovers in the contest; a fumble by Aaron Jones, and an interception thrown by Rodgers.

Good Stat: Rookie receiver Christian Watson had five catches for 104 yards, his third 100-yard receiving game in his first year in the NFL. That is the second-most 100-yard receiving games by a Packers’ rookie in team history. Billy Howton tops the list with six 100-yard receiving games as a Packers rookie in 1952.
Bad Stat: The Packers had a three-point lead going into the fourth quarter. It was the first loss at Lambeau since 2007 in a game where they had a lead of three points or more going into the fourth quarter. They also lost a seven-point lead going into the fourth quarter this season in a home game, but that game was a Packers’ home game in London against the New York Giants. The Packers had a seven-point lead going into the fourth quarter in that game and lost 27-22.
Allen Lazard topped Green Bay with most catches, receiving yards this season
Good Stat: Allen Lazard had the Packers’ only TD in the game. He finished the season with 60 catches for 788 yards, both career highs for Lazard. His six TD receptions was second on the team to Christian Watson’s seven TD catches.
Bad Stat: Detroit rookie Kerby Joseph, who played collegiately at Illinois, had an interception in the game, his third against Rodgers and the Packers this season. He had a total of four interceptions on the season.
Bad Stat: The Packers scored first in the game but lost. It was the first loss at Lambeau since November 1, 2020, when they scored first and lost. They had won nine straight games at Lambeau when they scored first.
Aaron Jones reaches 1,500 yards from scrimmage milestone
Good Stat: Aaron Jones finished the season with 1,516 yards from scrimmage. It was the 15th time in Packers’ history that a player had 1,500+ scrimmage yards in a season. This was Jones’ second time reaching the 1,500-yards scrimmage mark.
Bad Stat: The Packers were 4-5 in 2022 in one-score games (games decided by eight points or less).
