Giannis Antetokounmpo became the first player in Bucks’ history to score 30 or more points with 10 or more turnovers in a game. Giannis had 30 points, 21 rebounds, 10 assists and 12 turnovers in the team’s OT win over Toronto on January 4.

Giannis became the fourth Bucks’ player to have 10 or more turnovers in a game. Vin Baker, Andrew Bogut, and John Lucas each had a 10-turnover game for Milwaukee in their careers. Baker scored 18 points in his 10-turnover game; Bogut had 15 points, and Lucas had nine points in his 10-turnover contest.

How many career 30-point games does Giannis have with no turnovers?

The 30-point game with 12 turnovers begs the question: How many 30-point games has Giannis had in his career with no turnovers? The answer: Nine. He is second on the Bucks all-time list in this stat. Michael Redd had 18 career 30-point games with no turnovers to top the list.

Here are the 11 Bucks’ players who have two or more career games with 30+ points and no turnovers in that game.

Bucks’ players with most 30-point games with no turnovers

    18-Michael Redd
    9-Giannis Antetokounmpo
    6-Ricky Pierce
    5-Marcus Johnson, Terry Cummings
    3-Glenn Robinson, Ersan Ilyasova
2-Ray Allen, John Salmons, Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Giannis does lead the team with most 40-point games without a turnover with three. The last game was on February 8, 2022, when he had 44 points and no turnovers in the Bucks 131-116 win over the Lakers in Los Angeles. Michael Redd had two 40-point games with no turnovers in his Bucks’ career; Vin Baker, Ray Allen, and Khris Middleton each had one.

Michael Jordan holds a portion of the NBA’s top spot in both most 30-point games without a turnover and most 40-point games without a turnover. He had 36 30-point games (tied with Dirk Nowitzki) and 14 40-point games to top these stat categories.

NBA record for most points scored with no turnovers, 10+ turnovers

The NBA record for most points in a game with no turnovers is held by Carmelo Anthony. He had 62 points and no turnovers in a game on January 24, 2014, as a member of the Knicks.

The NBA record for most points scored with 10 or more turnovers in a game is held by Dwyane Wade. He had 41 points and 12 turnovers in a game on February 1, 2007, as a member of the Miami Heat.
