When you have a ridiculous +/- of 54, somebody is bound to notice, right? And thankfully, the NBA has. Giannis Antetokounmpo has won the NBA player of the Week award for week 15. He takes home the Eastern Conference half. Damian Lillard, who often gets mentioned as a good match to pair with Giannis in Milwaukee, won the Western Half for his play in week 15.
Giannis’s stat line over the past four games has simply been out of this world. In only 30 minutes per game, Giannis has averaged 38.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and is shooting 64% from the field. Wow!
Of course the cherry on top is the Bucks are on a four game winning streak during that time. As a point of comparison, Damian Lillard is averaging less points (37) and less rebounds than Giannis (4.5) over that same span. And he is the other top, best player! Giannis’ MVP talk is real. It should get even louder if this high level of production continues!

Giannis on the season
His season statistics are nothing to sneeze at either. In 39 games played, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.7 points (team lead), 12 rebounds (team lead), and is second on the team with 5.3 assists per game. He is averaging under a block a game and just over 4 turnovers.
His influence on his teammates is also equally important. Check out this tweet from MarJon Beauchamp.
