After the 76ers game, Giannis Antetokounmpo went to shoot some postgame free throws. A video surfaced of Giannis trying to get the 76ers workers to move a ladder so he could shoot. The workers were less than helpful and Giannis ends up knocking down the ladder. There have been many people commenting their thoughts on the situation. Giannis got his chance to respond about the ladder incident.
Giannis Responds to Critics About Ladder Incident
“I don’t know if I should apologize because I don’t feel like I did anything wrong, except the ladder just fell. I feel like it’s my right for me to work on my skills after a horrible night at the free throw line.”

Giannis didn’t come out and clearly apologize. He admits that the ladder falling was not good but otherwise he did not see anything wrong with what he did. After an awful night at the free throw line, Giannis came out to work on his game. This is something we praise so many players for doing especially star players. “I feel like it is right for me to work on my skills,” Giannis said. Apparently, the 76ers entered into some gamesmanship and wouldn’t allow Giannis to practice.
This Is The Definition Of Making A Mountain Out Of A Molehill
I cannot believe that people are making such a big deal about this. No one got hurt. Giannis was not attempting to hurt anyone. The ladder was not knocked down in a fit of rage. Clearly, it was an accident. This is a situation where everyone should move on and give Giannis a break. He does not have a history of behavior like this, something that FS1’s Nick Wright pointed out.
Giannis has been in the public eye for nearly a decade, and been a super super star for 5 years.
This is his first even kind of bad moment. I’m gonna go ahead and give him more than the benefit of the doubt, if that’s OK.

Wright admits that this is simply “kind of” a bad moment. He has been in the public eye for nearly a decade and he has never had an incident like this. Giannis, and many others, do not even see this as an incident. There have also been some reports coming out that the 76ers may have been more involved in the incident. He should get the benefit of the doubt on this one.
