Milwaukee Bucks’, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to showcase his ability to respond to haters in a measured and poised fashion.
And we LOVE to see it!
This time, the critique came from Ex-NBA Player Gilbert Arenas. While a guest on the No Chill podcast, the former Washington Wizard showed how little he appreciates Giannis’ achievements, stating;
Media tries to shorten the gap: “Oh, he’s the best player in the league.” Not even close. He doesn’t understand basketball yet. He won a championship. Cool. He doesn’t understand how to be great.
Quite the opinion coming from an ex-player with zero championships under his belt.
Now, most hotshot players these days would come out swinging after taking a critique like that. But Giannis was oblivious of this ‘shade’ until his teammates and family brought it to his attention.
It looks like he’s already settling into how he plans to “disappear” in retirement. Can’t blame you there, Giannis!
But when he was finally asked about Arenas’ comments, Giannis had a measured and strong response, stating;
Does it bother me? It makes me want to work harder… When I’m 45, 50 years old, I might be a little bitter seeing a 20-year-old signing a 3-year $900M. Maybe, but I don’t think so.

Does Gilbert Arenas know that his name is Gilbert

Arenas’ best career highlight was of him pulling a gun on his teammate in the locker room. He can’t even hold Giannis’ jockstrap all time what a clown
